Robson makes a case
When Barry Robson went from Dundee United to Celtic in January, many observers of Scottish football, myself included, saw it as a risky move. He was moving from being the star of the then-fourth ranked team in the SPL, to having to fight for playing time on the second. Celtic is a team with a glut of midfield talent, and one wondered if another domestic star had taken the big paycheck to sit on the Old Firm’s sizable bench.
Thank you, Barry Robson, for proving me wrong.
3 matches for Celtic, 121 minutes on the pitch, 2 goals. And this one, the lob against Barca, is one for the ages. I’ve been on the fence before, but I have just fallen off, helped along by a combination of admiration and drink. Barry Robson for Scotland. Here’s the goal.
