FIFA: Team GB will be Team England

The disastrously bad idea that was Team GB for the London Olympics is finally dead today, as FIFA agreed to allow England to represent Great Britain at the games. I can’t say I’m 100% thrilled, as I loved the idea of a tournament playoff and thus the possibility of a Scotland team at the Olympics, but this is the next best thing. England will host the games, England will play at the games, and that’s entirely fine by me. I won’t promise to root them on or anything, but I’m glad it’s worked out.
